Claire was also shortlisted for the Woman in Housing Awards in 2022 and twice won coveted Chief Exec Awards within her organisation. In 2021, her experiences in various cross-sections of public sector working led her to stand as a candidate for the Police and Crime Commissioner elections.

Her wide-ranging scope in this role saw herself leading community and homes ASB teams, Community Safety Scheme Officers (CSAS), and Environmental Protection.

''I am passionate about delivering training on important topics because being able to share knowledge empowers individuals to create meaningful change for our communities.
Whether it’s safeguarding, anti-social behavior tools and powers, domestic abuse awareness, building resilience or leadership, the feedback that we see from the training demonstrates how powerful it can be in providing confidence and encouragement to be professionally curious. It’s a real pleasure to do this work - making a real difference to people’s roles, and of course our communities.''

Stacey Sharpe
Stacey has been working in social housing since she was a young, fresh faced and very naïve 16-year-old. She left school not knowing what she wanted to do and fell into a Customer Service role in a Housing Association. Stacey has worked in various roles across the sector but always had a passion for working with vulnerable people. One of her favourite roles was as a Housing Officer as she loved getting her teeth stuck into complicated hoarding cases and seeing how she could help to make even a small difference.
Stacey went on to lead a team of 8 Housing Officers. In 2020 her career has naturally led herself into the world of Safeguarding and her current role as a Safeguarding & Tenancy Sustainment Manager.
''I met Chris during a Safeguarding training course he was delivering in 2022. I could sense he was equally as passionate as I am about supporting vulnerable residents and children. Chris’s training session had a real impact on me and how I viewed safeguarding. I felt truly inspired!
I started working as an associate with CGTC in October 2023. I have been lucky enough to deliver training to numerous different housing providers in the country and met some amazingly talented people. I have learned so much about myself, different subject matters and gained confidence I didn’t even know I lacked. But the real beauty of training, is the lasting impact you can have and ultimately promoting good practice across the sector, leading to happier/ safer residents.
Working on the frontline gives me valuable knowledge and understanding of societal pressures that affect housing colleagues across the sector. It means I am adaptable, approachable, and open to challenge.''
